Ashridge House is a Grade 1 listed 19th Century neo-gothic mansion that is set in 190 acres of gardens and parkland. The history of the mansion dates back 700 years and it was originally a monastery for Benedictine monks before becoming a home to Henry VIII’s children. It was also owned for many years by the Dukes and Earls of Bridgewater.

Ashridge House is located in the countryside of Hertfordshire, 30 miles outside North London. There are 190 guest rooms at the house of which are 179 are en-suite and 11 are luxury rooms. Residential guests are also able to use the leisure facilities which include a swimming pool, fitness room and squash courts. There are also tennis courts, a 9-hole pitch and putt course and jogging trials outdoors.

Couples who book a wedding at Ashridge House will receive the services of a dedicated wedding planner free of charge. Up to 120 guests can be accommodated for the ceremony, and up to 400 guests can be hosted in total if additional guests are invited to the evening reception. Once a date has been booked, no other weddings will be held on that day so couples have exclusive access to all six function rooms to use as they wish.
